In my nearly 16 years of experience in the Higher Education sector and specifically in the Directorate of Student Affairs at Rhodes University, offering specific administrative support in the Counselling Centre and the Office of Student Affairs. As a highly competent professional, I would bring a resourceful, flexible, and hard-working attitude to this role. I am skilled in teamwork, project planning, and events management, such as assisting in the planning and coordinating of the institution's first-year orientation programme, working closely with Deans, heads of academic and support structures and the communications and advancement division of the institution. This high level of engagement with various partners for the institution's first-year orientation programmes enhanced my leadership, communication and planning and events armament skills. I have gained experience in the regular engagement with the senior management committee of the institution, which provided me with the opportunity to sharpen and enhance my organizational, time management, prioritizing and communication skills and overall professional decorum.
I would describe my character as caring, compassionate, friendly, but firm and dedicated with a professional undertaking of all duties assigned to me. I am a self-starter, intuitive, and excel at inventory planning and management. I am competent in Microsoft Office packages and proficient in speaking and writing in both English and Afrikaans and hold a Code 8 driver's licence.
