Lecturer in Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering
Currently employed be a thriving, progressive college which offers a wide range of technical, business, vocational and community courses up to degree level. Lecturer in Electrical/Electronics/Control subject including mathematics and business systems on a range of courses.
Coleg Cambria employs over 1500 staff and provides a broad spectrum of courses for around 30,000 learners. Primarily responsible for teaching and developing a range of Electrical, Electronics & Control Engineering courses.
Responsibilities include:-
Lecturing on the courses from the college programme
Staff recruitment and selection
Supporting and mentoring teaching staff continued
Development of on-line teaching facilities
Development of mechanisms for off-site specialist training for nationally recruited students including the development of websites/intranet/moodle and blackboard to aid learning and assessment process
Course leader/Coordinator for Higher national courses
Development and implementation of improved methods for students to monitor their progress remotely via password protected website, allowing access of information throughout North Wales.
External relationships
Liaising with Glyndwr OpTic Technium management team to develop a strategic plan for the optical industry in England and Wales
Liaising with industrial employers in North Wales and North West England to develop the Higher National certificate in control engineering

General Motors Europe employs over 55,000 staff in nine European countries and manufactures a wide range motor vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and power train. Primarily responsible for scheduled systems maintenance and breakdown and repair management.
