ITRACK VOLUNTEER, THE SMITH FAMILY

The Smith Family iTrack program engages high school students year 9-12 to focus on their studies and provides them with information about workplace, study and career opportunities to enhance their school to work/ further study transition. My role is to read over transcripts between mentors and students to ensure that policies are being followed and to notify appropriate authorities of any disclosures or behaviour violations.
VOLUNTEER SUPPORT WORKER, YMCA

Connect Camp is designed for engaging young people who are considered vulnerable or at risk in a variety of ways. We spend four days participating in activities such as flying fox, canoeing, arts and crafts etc. As a team leader my role is to ensure that the children have fun, act their age and make friends. I provide them with support and aspire to be an appropriate role model. I am required to follow work place policies and procedure and given appropriate training for conflict resolution and handling delicate situations with vulnerable children.

A school dedicated to certificates and degrees in Fitness, I was the first point of contact with most students and clients. My role was to answer student and client enquires and perform administrative duties such as computer based input/output, filing, answering the phones, handling enquiries, ensuring accounts are up to date and paid for, manage room bookings and other duties as directed.
VOLUNTEER, REACH OUT

Reach out is an organisation based in Peru, South America, my role was working side by side with local villagers and other volunteers in building a playground for the children in the village who had never seen one before. Lots of time spent interacting with the children at the local village school where I taught them some English and effectively engaged with them in playing games and activities such as dancing.
