I've always strove for greatness. In school, I would achieve high marks but I always felt that marks alone could not provide me with the best growth potential. That is why I would take any experience opportunity available. I showed this initiative when I applied to work as a physics tutor/assistant, and again when I became a Student representative at the institute hosting my foundation year. After foundation, I chose The University of Surrey due to its excellent placement year opportunities which allowed me to work for (approximately) a year in the U.S. in a genetics research lab. All of these positions helped me develop interpersonal and technical skills that would allow me to excel in any lab or corporate environment. Furthermore, if I lack some of the skills required for the job, I believe I have developed some flexibility along the year that would allow to thrive in such a situation.
