Project Abstract The transition from BT Retail to WLR3 is required as part of the transition program. As per the OFCOM regulations, Equivalence Management Platform (EMP) will be used by BT Retail, for raising Fulfillment and Assurance requests.

The current BT Retail lines, also referred to as BT Retail Classic lines, need to be migrated to the Open reach WLR3 stack. Once the STOP order is raised on CSS and the account have been migrated to WLR3 stack, all the billing data needs to be transferred to BAL so that it can be billed on Geneva (strategic stack).

A lot of Standalone data is transferred from IRS extraction process directly but the transition data needs to be extracted from CSS and send it to Business Access Layer (BAL)/Geneva.

Migration Controller (MC) first selects the candidate billing accounts for migration. If all the rules are met, the account is allowed to migrate..

Details  Automated IPD application to speed up testing work.  Application contained Transmission and Radio planning data which was needed to be tested regularly, hence application was automated and scheduled to check for data.  Auto reporting engine included for reporting error in application build which occur frequently.  HTML Reporting functionality, tracking features included.  Increased work speed up to 400% compared to manual method on a daily basis and reduced Manual Efforts from around 10 PDs to 2 per release thereby saving in a year 32 PDs in case of quarterly releases of the IPD application  Human errors caused during system and regression testing is reduced by 100%  The data built by the application contains many XLS’s that needs to be compared with that of the previous build. This comparing was done manually before which sometimes caused human errors. Now the whole XLS’s are compared automatically which reduced the defects by 100%. This XLS comparing feature is built in such a way that it can used to compare any XLS’s of any application.
