Responsibilities: I am responsible for equipment upkeep for the Radiology, ICUs and OTs.
In addition to regular equipment maintenance I am working as a second in line for the department and handling;
Calibration of Equipments.
Overall Equipment availability.
Part of purchase committee, for finalizing the equipments to be procured.
Looking after the adherence of SOPs formulated to keep up with NABH standards.
Actively generating the Quality Management data (Quality Indicators: Equipment Downtime and Uptime) for the department of Biomedical Engineering as a part of NABH requirement.
Looking after the maintenance and upkeep of CMMIS (Computerized Maintenance Management Information System) a proprietary software for Biomedical Engineering Maintenance Department of FSMS.
In past tenure with Apollo Hospitals, we have gone through NABH assessments (2 for the Hospital and 1 for the Blood Bank) and subsequent NABL assessment as well, with no Non-compliance received for the biomedical equipment care.
