Project: Operations and Security Camps, $280M, Client: Total E&P, Nigeria.
I was recruited to Darycet’s first EPCC contract in Oil & Gas. The package consists of Construction of Operations and Security Camp (Built up-20,000 sqm. with high end specifications for accommodationCbuildings, Offices, Restaurant with Industrial Kitchen, Recreation, Technical areas, Helipad,Decommissioning & Demolition, external buried network and landscaping.)
My first task was to create 90 days look ahead schedule for mobilization and EPC deliverables. Then I created WBS and WBS dictionary with commissioning deliverables as per the systems defined.
We jointly developed responsibility assignment matrix for execution scope with site team leaders and PM. Excel based progress measurement system using weightages given in the contract was developed for site monthly progress measurement. I developed the schedule with logics and team wise activity codes in primavera as per the time, resource availability and later developed the cost estimates. Method for measurement of earned value was documented and labour units were assigned to all activities. I conducted regular schedule risk identification meetings and analysis with risk owners and effect of monitored mitigation measures.
I established a robust Project Control dashboard solution showing job status and trend analysis for Engineering, Procurement and Construction using Primavera and ME Excel.
I analysed the critical and near critical activities, highlighted to the Project Manager any deviations in plan or adverse trends which could impact timely completion, cost and procurement delays. I monitored productivity of ongoing tasks and reported adverse trends to PM.
I performed time impact analysis of delayed activities on critical path and reported the impact of delays on the schedule completion.
I published series of reports as per contractual obligation viz. the S-curve, look-ahead schedule, room wise finishing schedule, resource allocation plans including resource smoothening and leveling analysis balancing the resource capacity of the organisation and time availability.
I maintained the project library with records of significant events to establish contractual claims/ obligations for subcontractors and customer, productivity analysis records, milestone completion and material status records.
I delivered the monthly presentations to client highlighting concerns and mitigation measures required in completion of critical activities.
I developed the Precommissioning and Commissioning Execution plan, Master Document Register, L3 schedule and KPI chart for tracking design and construction deliverables.
I led the Precommissioning and Commissioning meeting from the contractor’s side and followed up for all actionable points from respective stakeholders.
I revised the WBS, WBS dictionary, progress measurement weightages, schedule basis, planning sequence, L3 schedule in Primavera P6 as per scope change order. Now that the project has reached substantial completion I’m ready for my next adventure.

I joined the Project Control Group in Synefra at Head Office for Buildings – Corporate, Commercial and Industrial Structures. For Mercedes Benz India – Paint Shop, Pune, Built up 200,000 sq.ft – I created a project control plan and presentation to client including dashboard report for Mercedes Benz India top management analysing the key trends, critical and non-critical activities in Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Paint Shop. I monitored the effects of key management decisions in requirement gathering phase and communicated the same to the site, procurement and design teams. For Volkswagen India-Central Kitchen, Logistic Hall Ware house, CKD Warehouse and Sales and Service Training Centre, Pune, Built-up- 250,000sq.ft. – I developed process control formats for all major processes at site after analysis of work processes and contract requirements, analysed non-conformities in processes during execution and monitored corrective actions taken. I developed the Planning & Scheduling Procedure, Progress Measurement Procedure and Risk Management Plan. I analysed the contractor execution plan for resource capacity, schedule risks and monitored the effects of corrective actions. I prepared productivity analysis reports, as built schedule and conducted delay analysis for delays in the Volkswagen Pune’s Industrial Kitchen, Warehouse, and Sales and Service Training Centre Building for liquidated damages decision support. Lastly, I prepared the Project close-out report, and compiled lessons learnt from various disciplines and circulated for reference. Serum Institute India, Pune, Phase-II- Project Management for Briquette Fired boiler for Pharma SEZ- I developed as built schedule, delay analysis report, close-out report and lessons learnt report.

2005 – 2010
I was recruited through campus into Bellary Thermal Power Station, NDCT & RCC Chimney, Karnataka, India project site. I development project schedule after scope and contract document analysis and prepared the monthly invoices for lump sum contract in MS excel. I was leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control team at site and represented the contractor in various third party tests and FAT. I was the responsible section engineer for internal and external finishes, stack elevator installation management, and RCC hopper construction. Later I was posted to Head office in the newly created Project Planning cell for Project Commercial Phase Planning and Execution Planning Baseline of New Jobs.
Project Commercial Phase Planning: I conducted site surveys with commercial team to collect planning data and constraints, developed the construction methodology options to suit constructability requirements, developed project schedule after verifying feasibility of the project in line with the organizations resource capacity. I designed and computed quantity for enabling works for technical submission, including temporary accommodation, casting yard layouts, sketches. I presented pre-bid planning presentation to consultant for Goa Shipyard Modernization -II during technical qualification stage. Following projects were submitted for commercial phase:
• Jahra Road Urban Viaduct, Kuwait (Dual expressways with up to seven lanes in each direction. Grade Seperator interchanges, Viaducts, Underpasses, Bridges, Utility Diversion and Drainage works.)
• 200X447.5m Adyar Runway Bridge, Chennai, Airport Authority of India
• Western Freeway Sea link Project , Worli to Haji Ali 3.2 km, Mumbai, India
• EPC for Three Rail Over Bridges at Bhilai Steel Plant, India
• Construction of cable stay bridge & its approach flyovers on Tapi river joining Athwalines- Adajan in Surat, Surat Muncipal Corporation (Cantilever method deck construction)
• Design Construction Financing Operation Maintenance of two lane High level bridge across River Krishna, Andhra Pradesh, India (PSC box & I girder CIS, well foundation)

Project execution planning baseline: I developed the first detailed baseline planning document in the organisation for Projects with value more than $100 million. This was used as the reference baseline document by the following project sites.
• New Brahmaputra Bridge in Guwahati on NH 31, India, Client – NHAI ( Main Bridge – PSC Box Girder CIS , Well foundation, Approach Viaduct and Grade Separator)
• Rampur HPP, SJVNL, Himachal Pradesh, India (Package-1, HRT River Diversion Works, Adits and Vehicular Gates)
