Previous Experience:
Since the first year of University I started giving private lessons to students of secondary school and university, concerning scientific subjects (such as maths, phisics and chemistry).
The main competences developed during the master degree have been on materials, biomedical devices and electrical installation used in healthcare settings, together with the knowledge of robotics applied to the rehabilitation of patients.
During the last two years I attended some specific courses and developed projects oriented to the “clinical field”:
• “ Functional tests and maintenance of Medical devices” course: I developed skills in managing the installation of medical devices and machinery, by making safety tests and quality controls.
“Problem Solving” project: by working in team, we tried to find different solutions for the management of intensive care patients who are unable to move.
“SOMO 14D” project: I developed an algorithm, using the programming language C, to pilotate an audio player named SOMO14, by using a microcontroller of the PIC 167877A family. This project was an example of a typical embedded mechatronic system.
“Lumacher” project: my team realized a bio-inspired robot which was able to avoid obstacles, by using some embedded distance sensors. In our laboratory, we realized the distance sensors made with a spring of specific stiffness, and we used a microcontroller of the PIC 167877A family for the robot control.
“ARM Guide” project: I was also involved in a project, which had the goal to actuate the degrees of motion of a robot used for the arm rehabilitation after a stroke. We were able to actuate two degrees of motion of the robot by choosing and sizeing the right actuators. We used simulations environments, such as Solidworks and Matlab, for the trajectory planning and the position control.
Profile
Strong organizational and problem solving skills, with an analytic working method developed through my studies and work experiences. During the management of projects and tasks, I have always applied disciplined approaches, as to be able to follow the development from the birth up to the end of them. I believe in teamwork both in private and professional life, as I think that only with a strong collaboration the best results can be achieved.
My major interest is in Clinical Engineering, concerning functional Tests, Repairs management, identification of Breakdowns, maintenance of Medical Device, but also of electrical installation in a healthcare setting.
Open minded and always ready for new challenges, I have developed good skills in adapting to different scenarios, having also lived abroad.
I spent the last two summer holidays in London, a city that I love and that I am considering for a future relocation.
