Project HSE Adviser: Trant Engineering, Buncefield Oil Depot.

Responsible for overseeing / advising all aspects of Safety during the Reconstruction of Oil/Fuel Storage Tanks & associated Bunding whilst operating adjacent to a live fully functional fuel storage Plant that comes under the COMAH Regulations. Collectively operating with the Principal Contractor (AMEC) & Client (British Pipeline Agency) to achieve a Zero Harm environment in hazardous / demanding conditions.

Aug – 2014 to Present
HSE Consultant: Steel River Safety Consultants, Renewable Energy/ Power.

Introduced to various Energy companies (Conergy / ETPower Solutions) to update their Safety Management System to HSG: 65 standards & to ensure Full HSE compliance during operations on Solar Farms, & Power Plants at Littlewood Solar Farm & Park Farm projects which were of 13.72 MW. Advised Project teams / Sub-Contractors in all aspects of Site Safety such as Excavations, site set-up, safety presentations, accident investigation, training Non U.K Contractors in U.K legislation & ensured Principal Contractor / Sub-Contractors alike, implemented all relevant safety documentation prior to works commencing – i.e. – PTW (Dig/Electrical), RAMS etc.

Oct 2013 – April 2014
Project HSE Adviser: O’Sheas R.C. Frame Specialists.

Advising on Large High Rise construction project in Central London ensuring compliance in RC Frame operations, Civils, Piling Ops & Deep excavations. Carried out Site inductions, conducted training on various equipment, Face fit testing, Scaffold / equipment inspections & ensured all Safety Management Documentation was implemented into the SSOW. Also wrote all RAMS / COSHH assessments for all RC Frame & associated works.

Project HSE Adviser: Blackfriars Bridge Rail Project, London.

Operating on a large Multi-Disciplinary High Profile project for Pyeroy Industrial Services, ensuring Safety standards are maintained in Scaffolding, Painting and Steel Fabrication operations in a Rail environment, whilst working closely with the Main Contractors (Balfour Beattie) & Network Rail to Contract completion. Chaired Weekly Safety meetings, carried out daily Safety Tours of Bridge Spans often with the main contractor & conducted Health Surveillance (Air Monitoring) due to Painting / Blasting operations.

Operated on a Large Open Cast Mining Project, where I was responsible for installing / advising a SSOW for all WAH & Tunnelling operations and to Train/Mentor Local Safety Personnel in a Marine environment.
