A business continuity plan is a roadmap for continuing operations under adverse conditions such as a storm or a crime. Any event that could impact operations is included, such as supply chain interruption, loss of or damage to critical infrastructure (major machinery or computing/network resource).The activities involved in this project are as under.

a. Installation of all the core applications on far away servers for DR / BCP.

b. Replication of DR servers with Production servers

3. NDS – OM Project

NDS-OM is a screen based electronic anonymous order matching system for secondary market trading in Government securities owned by RBI. The Activities involved were.

a. Servers and Leased Lines procurement

b. Independent connectivity with RBI for faster Trades.

4. Server Upgrades

Server Upgrades of all investment applications to Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 OS. The activities involved were:

a. Checking Application Feasibility on mentioned OS

b. Testing applications parallel.

Projects Undertaken:

1. Converting the existing software application (client server architecture) to web architecture

Description: The current application is Client-Server based which was required to be converted to web based. The main advantages being, it could be accessed from anywhere and the services of middle-tier server was not required. It was necessary to develop a complete new application from scratch. The new Web application had advanced features like user defined dashboard, market updates, chat facility and a complete refresh looks.

 

2. File Uploads

Description: It was a tedious work for users to post hundreds of transactions manually. This application provided the feature of uploading csv files that consisted of hundreds of transactions, hence posting these transactions within minutes.

 

2. Portfolio Allocation & Banking Transactions

Description: Many Securities like GILTS, Bonds etc are allocated to different schemes i.e. portfolios using this application. Different types of banking transactions like Funds In, Funds Out, Swift Transfer etc are performed using this application. Funds are transferred from a particular account number of a scheme in a bank to a different account number.
