Duties: Working with component plans, creating digital and printed material for both internal and external use, working with property, HR department, and internal design teams to create and publish these through various medias. Also I assist in Day-to-day office tasks and administrative duties including covering office helpdesk, switchboard, reception area and central reservations desk. I thrive on presenting new web page and blog content ideas to the marketing team, analysing digital campaigns and multitasking between my dual roles.

Achievements: Creating monthly newsletter for Aegon that was sent to over 2000 employees– the readership of this increased monthly as well as intranet site views and employee engagement. Also creating an animated promotional video for internal use. Held joint responsibility for intranet updates, organising events and all written communications. I completed in excess of 40 projects within my 12 months of working with Aegon all of which being to a high quality standard.

Key Learnings: Became fully competent in communications management and Adobe Creative Suite, Google analytics and Mail Chimp and attained other invaluable digital skills. I work to extremely tight timelines and under pressure, which has rapidly increased my maturity, experience and drive for success.

Junior Marketing Assistant (Work Placement)
(January 2014 – June 2014)

Edinburgh Leisure, UK

Duties: Aim was to discover whether the company can break into a corporate target market. This involved extensive marketing research and tasks to determine whether this was a feasible market. Production of quantitative and qualitative research methods using questionnaires for direct feedback. Collection of consumer demographics, needs/preferences, and purchasing habits to capitalize on new markets and identity methods to boost service demand.

Achievements: With a team created documents and digital content for Corporate Sports Events marketing. Developed comprehensive reports based on marketing, sales trends, and demographic data analysis. Maximised the use of company CRM (Salesforce) and other marketing assets such as digital customer acquisition and social media marketing.

Key Learnings: Understanding of the importance of teamwork, the rewards and challenges that come with working with a highly regulated programme and have delved into the world of sales, marketing and design.

Direct Marketing Sales Assistant

Duties: Identifying and targeting new business prospects, managing and maintaining databases of potential clients, selling the company services in the field and via telephone, recruiting new team members, liaising with current and potential customers.

Achievements: Played a pivotal role in driving new business prospects forward for company’s clients (Talk Talk and Love Film), and assisted in maximising revenue opportunities. Also I was frequently the top sales person, exceeding sales targets and winning sales prizes. As I gained experience I earned more responsibility.

Key Learnings: Negotiation skills, experience of setting targets and monitoring performance, excellent listening skills and constantly monitoring my own performance.

Receptionist
(June 2012 – February 2013)

Duties: Maximise sales and create repeat business by providing excellent customer service, delegating tasks to team members, Organizing and maintaining office files and records, taking inbound calls, dealing with general email enquiries.

Achievements: Implemented a customer care strategies that has led to a reduction in complains (The part of “I love guests” campaign at Whitbread PLC). Was recognized for highly developed selling, influencing and negotiation skills and been assigned to set up contracts with tourism agencies and group bookings.

Key Learnings: Whilst working here I developed my time management and communication skills. I also gained an insight into how to provide the best possible customer service. I strived to exceed customer expectation through enthusiasm and perseverance.
