Project Details
Carried out a project work on “Process optimization and First pass yield improvement in PF33 Barrel bore finish” in Bosch Limited, Audugodi , Bangalore.
Benefits of the project:
First pass yield improvement 91-95%.
Establishment of Honing process as an alternative process to Lapping.
Increase in productivity.
Tool cost reduced Rs.7 per piece.
Avoidance of frequent tool change.
Skill level of operator and Measurement errors minimized.
Process established is environmental friendly, as lapping process which was used earlier is eliminated due to environmental concerns.
The new process is released for regular production.
