Petronet LNG is at the forefront of India’s all-out national drive to ensure the country’s energy security in the years to come. Petronet LNG has set of first LNG Terminal at Dahej, Gujarat, with a capacity of 17.5 MMTPA.
Working as Mechanical technician with Maintenance team of Petronet LNG Ltd.
Maintenance of the following rotary & static equipments.
Pump:- Maintenance and overhauling of centrifugal pumps (overhung, Axial split case, vertical, sump, back pull out type and canned motor pump and positive displacement internal /external Gear pump, Diaphragm pump, Air operated DP pump Make –Sulzer ,Mather platt, Ebara, Flowserve.
LNG Pump (12 stage)/ (2stage)High pressure multi stage Vertical Canned pump overhauling and maintenance. (Design Pressure: 130 barg at 400 m3/hr) / LNG in-tank pumps (Design Pressure: 18.5 barg at 520 m3/hr) (Nikkiso Make)
Compressor:- Maintenance and overhauling of Reciprocating compressor. Dresser rand .
Screw compressor of ATLAS COPCO and KAESER.
Multi stage Air Compressors of KIRLOSKAR .
Gas Turbine:- Gas turbine of Siemens make SGT300- 7.5 MW ) overhauling and inspection (A,B&C-Type) Baroscopic inspection, Dismantling and assembling of rotor disc (LP & HP)& stator , Core Engine replacement & parts changed, main and pilot burner removal ,Planetary Gear box inspection, generator removal and fixing, Auxiliary oil pump pm and filter replacement, bleed off valve pm ,Air intake system filter replacement, lube oil cooler pm.
JETTY & MARINE ARM:-LNG Unloading Arms (FMC Technologies make RMCA type 16inch.*75feet with Q= 14000m3/h (Hydraulics cylinder replacement, swivel cartridge, cryogenic seal replacement, rope tighten, greasing of arm, connection and disconnection of arm, N2 Accumulator Bladder testing and filling . Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder overhauling. also handling LNG Tanker loading facilities (TTLF).
Jetty equipments such as Gangway tower ,MD- BD Berthing system & Winch.
Successfully re-installed the Emergency Release Coupling of LNG Unloading Arm within 2 hrs of ESD
Blower:- Maintenance and overhauling of SCV’s (Submerged Combustion Vaporizer) centrifugal type blower .Also carried out maintenance of Roots blower(Lobe) of RO Water plant.
Valve: – Maintenance and installation of various type of valves. Pressure safety valve- PSV, TSV, POSRV maintenance and calibration.
Heat exchanger:- Maintenance and testing of SHELL n TUBE & PLATE type Heat Exchanger.
De chocking and Hydro jet cleaning of Tube, Tube leak testing.
Piping and support :-Replacement & restoring of pipe spring support ,spring hanger .
Also carried out Pipe line commissioning and cooling down activity .
Utility Area :- maintenance of Air compressor Unit for plant air and Instrument air, Water Treatment Plant and Fire Water system with Deluge & Fire Water Tank (18000 m3 ), Diesel engine driven Pumps and Motor operated Pumps. Nitrogen Generation Plant, Refrigeration Unit, Portable Water System.
Tools & Tackles:- Periodically check and testing for certification of Different kind of lifting tool and tackles like web sling ,wire sling, D/bow shackle ,Eye bolt ,Chain block, Safety harness. Pressure vessel testing, thickness measurement and Hydro test for certification.
Mechanical Seal:- Installation and modification of Mechanical seals of almost all API plans. Well -versed with Make:- John crane, Eagle Burgmann, Flow Serve .
Preventive maintenance of Diesel Engine Cummins KTA 2300 C & QSK 60.
Replacements and fitting of all types of bearing like Roller bearing, Tapper roller bearing, ball bearing & Journal and Tilting pad Bearing.
Maintenance and complete overhauling of fin fan coolers, blowers, mixers, Gear boxes, ID & FD fans, damper.
All precision measuring tools knowledge like- Dial gauge, Ruler and scales, Veneer Caliper, micrometer, filler gauge, bevel protector, torque wrench, hydraulic puller and bearing heater.
Workshop activities related to plant maintenance, this includes drilling, turning, metal-cutting, grinding , welding and Gas cutting.
Connection and Disconnection of LNG Unloading arm to LNG Cargo Ship as per SOP (Successfully unloaded more than 650 LNG Cargo Ships.)
Expertise in various Equipment Rim and Face & Laser Alignment.
Mechanical Maintenance of Hydraulics & Pneumatics system, compressor, EOT crane(85TON), Lubrication system, Gear Boxes, pumps, Blowers, Valves, Belt Conveyors.
Awareness of Welding WPS,TIG /FCAW Welding ,PDP activity, Dew point, vessel thickness measurement, Vibration data collection ,DP test ,Hazop , NPFA code n symbol ,PTW & H2S.
Familiar with process systems like De -ethanizer De-propanizer, De-Butaniser , Gas Treating process, Re boilers, Gas fired heaters, distillation columns, Amine Treating, Instrument air systems of NGL Fractionation train.
The incumbent should be conversant with Alignment, Punching, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning of above listed equipment

Completed the project in 2006-07 of QMS on Maintain chloride contains in Rinse Tank to resist the rust formation of sheet and improve the quality with using DMAIC approach.
