Currently, I am working as an Oracle Database Administrator for Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Kolkata, India more than 4+yrs and with relevant exp of 7+yrs with a total exp around 9 yrs. In IT industry I have mainly worked in insurance and manufacturing domain. Extensive experience in database implementations,BAU activities and database transitions. Comprehensive experience as an Oracle DBA proficient in Oracle 9i/10g/11g Software Installations, Migrations, Database Capacity Planning, Automated Backup Implementation, Tuning Oracle 11g/10g/9i on Unix.
I have managed 6 member teams while supporting from offshore and guide the team. My current role is taking part in the transition of database and handing over to the BAU team for day to day activity.

Project Name:
1. Friend’s Life-UK Based Insurance Company
Working Period: Apr/2013 to till date.
Project Description: The Friend’s Life is an E2E Implementation and Support project in TCS including the Infrastructure Service. This group’s primary responsibility is to implement the various technologies like Citrix, IT Infrastructure for Oracle database etc.
Customer: Diligenta TCS’s UK FCA regulated subsidiary was established in 2005 to specialize in the provision of business process outsourcing services for the UK Life & Pensions industry.
Personal Role: Primary role is lead the team as an Oracle database administrator but we provide consultancy to clients for implementation in production environment and help them in planning a back up strategy for the same. We also provide support to the clients for the above-mentioned products for any crises situation.
Implementation of Oracle RAC and ASM:
• Architecting, planning, designing, developing, deploying and supporting RAC/ASM environment on Oracle 11g
• Installing & configuring Oracle cluster ware & Database Software and database creation in RAC on Oracle 11g
• Troubleshooting using cluvfy & handling common issues that arise during integration of the whole – bugs, network issues, configuration files issues, OCR issue, de-installation & cleanup of cluster-ware on oracle 11gR2

• Review the design and build document and prepare feed backup document and share with the design and build team.
• Making KT plan and share with the IBM team.
• Attending the KA session and review the questioners with response.
• Review the server details and prepare capacity planning for storage requirement.
• Prepare backup plan and implementations using RMAN.

Project Name: 2. Siebel Upgrade: Exelon-Constellation Energy Group Plc
Working Period: Oct/2012 to Mar/2013
Project Description: The project involve basically to upgrade the Siebel application to latest version and as the backend database was in Oracle so also need to upgrade the Oracle database also from 10g to 11g.
Customer: Constellation Energy was an energy producer, trader, and distributor. The company operated over 35 power plants in 11 states (mainly Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and California) under its operating and holding company Constellation Energy Group. Constellation Energy’s regulated utility, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, operated in central Maryland. Constellation Energy was a Fortune 500 company and was one of the top electricity producers in the United States.
Personal Role: My primary role was to involve in the database upgrade activity and co-ordinate all the upgrade activity with the on-shore team and help them in planning a backup strategy for the same. Also help the offshore team to help and guide them in the SQL tuning activity after the up gradation of the database.
Project Name: 3. Product Alliance Group(PAG)
Working Period: Jan/2011 to Sept/12
Project Description: The Product Alliance Group is a support and implementation project in TCS. This group’s primary responsibility is to support various clients for various technologies like Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server and various other Oracle Products with IBM Lotus notes, Citrix, Microsoft etc.
Customer: Tata Steel- Jamshedpur, JUSCO(Jamshedpur Utility and Supplier Company), Tata Tinplate, MCL-Orissa, SAIL-Bokaro, SAIL-Rourkela etc
Personal Role: Primary role is lead a team of 4 member for Oracle product support. We provide consultancy to clients for implementation in production environment and help them in planning a back up strategy for the same. We also provide support to the clients for the above-mentioned products for any crises situation.
Oracle DBA Activity:
• Installation and Configuration of Oracle database Servers 10g and 11g on Unix based system like AIX,HP-UX Itanium, PA-RISC on 64bit,OEL 5.
• Migration of Oracle database from 9i to 10gR2 and from 10g to 11g on Unix based system.
• Up-gradation of Oracle database from 10gR1 to 11gR2.
• Up-gradation of Oracle database from 9i to 10gR2 with latest Patch set implementation, Optach apply.
• Planning and Preparation DC and DR site production site.
• Implementation of DR for data centre on Oracle 11gR2 on Unix based system.
• Experience with ‘graceful’ switchover and switchback between primary and standby databases.
• Troubleshooting on many aspects depends upon our client’s issue on production database server.
• Backup policy and strategy planning using RMAN.
