Profile

My entire career to date has been with production. I have more than 20 years of experience in managing personnel and production facilities varying from food production to Engineering manufacturing, and have been taught ways to deal effectively, efficiently and successfully with various projects.

I have knowledge and experience with ISO 22000:2005, 14001, 9001 and HACCP.

I work extremely well in a team, on my own or as a team leader and can follow instructions.

I have many years of experience in the principles of LEAN manufacturing and problem solving and production improvements either in a factory or administration areas.

I enjoy challenging roles and work well under pressure. I have established a good working relationship and continued friendship with every employer who single me out for my competence, consistency and professional values that include strict corporate confidentiality.

My salary requirement is realistic to my age and experience and the present climate. However, it is negotiable depending on benefits or employment status etc.

I see myself as a highly dedicated and strongly driven individual. I am confident that my qualifications and experience shall meet your excellent standards.

I have worked in International companies with a diverse multi-cultural staff and in some instances fellow colleagues had little or no knowledge of the English language and have had no problems carrying out my duties.

I currently reside in Athens – Greece and I am willing to relocate for permanent, fixed term or temporary contract depending on terms. I do not mind traveling if needed for the position being offered. Naish Felts Bulgaria LLC (Production Manager)

3 month contract to assist the General Manager reorganise the factory to new layout.

Main duties include re-train staff on Naish Felts production procedures. Assist in the design and implementation of new factory layout. Oversee the moving and installation of four large production machines, over 40 manual operation machines and the delivery and installation of two new large CNC Press machines. My daily duties included production planning and report to the General Manager for daily updates of production progress. Help in slim lining company SOP’s restructure the quality department. I was also responsible for the factory in the absence of the General Manager.

Papantonatos S.A. (Project Manager) Greece

Responsible for several foreign client accounts for their current and future product needs. Liaise between customer and technical department with technical specifications and operational solutions dependent on individual customer requirements. Travel to customer location to ensure customer satisfaction and sometimes to the customer job site. Report to the company Director on a weekly basis and present the progress of new and existing projects, new and existing customers and any potential new customers.

Six-month contract aiming at the implementation and training of staff in lean manufacturing management issues. Main responsibilities: training of the responsible production engineer in lean manufacturing, re-organization of the manufacturing factory based on lean manufacturing practices, programming of production and arrangement of all open issues related to orders, organization of lean management training seminars, management and implementation of health and safety regulations and increase of productivity at reduced cost.

Operations Manager for ECS whose core business was to cater for all private planes at Athens International Airport Venizelos. My main duties included the management of staff, production control and scheduling, cost control and budgeting, sourcing of products and the research for new ideas, Organising events, Logistics, support of the Director for future projects. Personal achievements in the company include the implementation of the certification of ISO 14001 and ISO 22000. Most successful projects include: catering for Starbucks Hellas all over Greece (Marinopoulos S.A.), catering for Fast Ferries (F/B Theologos P.), catering for the Nautical Club of Vouliagmeni (2 beach bars and 1 main restaurant), catering for social events and private functions of the British, Irish and American Embassies as well as the restaurant of the latter serving around 300 people on a daily basis.

I also managed their Extrusion Department which included the organisation of daily production, ordering of raw material and the quality control of final products.

Main responsibilities: project management including manufacturing management, monitoring of production costs, management and enforcement of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, interviewing and recruiting new members of staff as well as disciplinary of existing staff and dealing with both weekly and monthly payroll of the departments; also responsible to ensure conformance according to the ISO Standards and the requirements of the technical specifications, management of Preventative maintenance, SMED, increase the productivity at a reduced cost, negotiate cost, ordering of supplies and quality control of raw and final material. Finally, approval of new tool designs and budgetary costs, organisation and submission of future investment projects to the board of Directors.
