Worked for the Saudi Binladin, PORR, HBK Joint Venture on the Doha Metro Rail, Green Line Elevated & AT Grade Project.

▪ My responsibilities covered all the attributes required of a QA/QC Manager as a member of the core management team on a major Government infrastructure project, developing and managing the full QMS/IMS function for the joint venture. Authoring the development and implementation of Project Quality Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans etc. Conducting Internal and External Audits across all disciplines including Construction, Site Civils Materials Test Laboratory, Third Party Test Laboratories, Document Control, Procurement, Project Controls, Interface /Integration Management Process, Risk Management Process, System Assurance etc.

▪ Worked as Senior Quality Manager on the Supply, Construction and Commissioning with O & M Services of the AZ Zour, South Desalination Plant with Carbonated Water System and Supply, Erection , Commissioning for conversion 2ND Stage AZ Zour South Gas Turbine Power Station.

▪ This project was a Joint Venture/Consortium of OTV(Consultant Engineer and Al Ghanim International – Power Division ( Main Contractor) for the Desalination Project and Al Ghanim/Alsthom for the Power Station.

▪ My duties covered the full QMS Management Implementation and Improvement for the Desalination Project QA/QC team for all disciplines on the project, Civil, MEP, E&I.etc

▪ I had two QA/QC Managers reporting to myself and approx twenty QC Engineers and QC Inspectors and additionally oversaw the Site Civils Materials Testing Laboratory.

▪ I was employed on the New Muscat International and Salalah Airports Projects working for the Client Engineer which was COWI-Larsen Joint Venture.

▪ My position was as QA/QC Manager Operations for the Installation of Specialist Refrigeration Equipment for the Inflight Catering Facility being constructed at the New Doha International Airport.

▪ My duties covered the full scope of a QA/QC Managers duties for a main sub-contractor on a large project, providing major equipment for a facility and conducting the full installation , build handover, pre-commissioning and commissioning to the client.

▪ During this period of time I was self- employed as a freelance consultant for Quality Systems Management, Health and Safety and Enviromental Management, to small to medium size businesses throughout the UK manufacturing, construction and service industry sectors.

▪ This involved providing an advisory service to assist them to achieve compliance and accreditation to the BSI ISO 9001: 2000, QS9000 , ISO /TS 16949 approvals bodies and achieving the Management of Health, Safety and Enviromental accreditation requirements of ISO 14001/ ISO 18001.

▪ Typically this would involve initial audit and assessment/gap analysis of the current QHSE Management System within a business, and review with Senior Management.
