As a Recruitment Coordinator I recruit candidates for Apprenticeships within financial services. I create links with young people, schools and colleges. I give CV, careers interview advice. I generate new business by making links with companies throughout the UK who are looking to take on a potential Apprentice. I worked as an Administrator and Teaching Assistant. I worked with students with extreme behaviour difficulties. Many of the students I work with have ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s & Anger Management issues. I worked with the students to encourage them to use pro social behaviours and how to behave in social situations. Additionally, I assisted with administrator team within general administration, being the first point of contact for agencies and parents as they entered the school. Action for children is a Fostering charity working with Young Offenders in Foster Placements. My job role was to practice appropriate behaviours with young people aged 13-17. I would identify and reinforce when the young people I work with were doing well. As a project worker I had to be a positive role model for young people. I was focused on setting up opportunities for young people such as getting them into Education, Apprenticeships, Volunteering and pro social recreational activities.

I worked on board a cruise ship in a youth club, working with children aged 9-17 year olds. We organised a range of exciting activities throughout the day such as swimming, sporting activities and evening events such as discos and quizzes. Our job role was to ensure children get the most out of their holiday by having fun and have the chance to make new friends of their own age. I was able to represent the Carnival brand and deliver a product successfully.

 

Hobbies & Achievements

• I really enjoy playing a wide range of sports. I regulars run with a local running club whereby we enter races and host charity events. I also take park in a local Park Run whereby we run a timed 5K every week.

• I especially enjoy swimming; I have recently joined a swimming club called Fareham Nomads where we take part in friendly and completive galas and tournaments.

• I am a Netball coach for a local team, I arrange training and take payments, I make connections with local facilities and teams in order to arrange friendly and competitive matches. I am able to demonstrate leadership and organisation skills.

• I am currently studying towards a distant learning degree through Portsmouth University. I am able to balance a full time job and make time for reading and researching towards my essays and assignments.

• I have volunteered for local charities. I worked at a charity called SCRATCH who support families and individuals from low income backgrounds. We deliver food and resources such as furniture. I have also volunteered for Help the Hero’s where we wrapped and organised Christmas presents for families and military forces fighting abroad.
