Senior mechanical installation supervision and control at the hydroelectric power plant and Dam. 6 units each 250 MW. It is also foreseen to lead the commissioning and start-up of the mechanical and electrical plant.
Essential part of the obligation is the Management of the mechanical installation in accordance with the approved Design and as well the coordination of the interface with the civil part of the project.
Technical and Management obligations/ activities:
– To check the mechanical design and Data sheets in view to the contract specification especially the main equipment i.e. Turbines, utilities water pumps, spiral cases, steel piping, and inlet screens.
– To coordinate the civil design with the mechanical and electrical design.
– To check the civil installation and approve the civil installation ready for the installation of the mechanical equipment.
– To supervise and control the installation of the mechanical equipment and coordinate and manage the inspection of the installed mechanical equipment.

Construction management services, especially design review coordination, contract monitoring, quality control, cost and time monitoring, project management, coordination of the design activities (civil, mechanical and electrical works).Controlling the mechanical design of the main equipment (Turbine, Pumps and pipeline areas)as well the design interface with the Civil Design. An important part of the activities on site was the Management of the mechanical installation in connection with the civil installation works.
Technical and Management obligations/ activities:
– Preparation of the civil, mechanical and electrical design program with dates from the proposed installation and commissioning program.
– Coordination of the civil, mechanical and electrical design team with regard to terms of the contract specification.

Key project data: installation of an 11th Unit – investment > 150 million Euro,
Including a large scale cavern and access roads; Services: Construction Management services, especially design review coordination, contract monitoring, quality control, cost and time monitoring, construction monitoring, coordination of the design and installation activities (civil, mechanical and electrical works).
For those activities it was very important to manage the interface between the Design of the civil part and the Mechanical Design. Especially to coordinate the design review of the civil and the mechanical drawings with the members of the specific task forces. On site activities have been to check the civil and mechanical installation works in conjunction with the approved design.
Technical and Management obligations/ activities:
– To organize from the beginning of the project the technical interfaces between the civil, the mechanical and the electrical design.
– To lead the regular meetings between the different designers respectively subcontractors in order discuss the interface design especially the civil and mechanical design.
– To receive the design drawings and calculation’s from the civil, mechanical and electrical subcontractors and distribution for the checking and approval of the different design members for the project.
– Issuing at the start of the project the design program in conjunction with the contract time table including the installation program together with the different subcontractors.

– Review the installed equipment especially the drinking water pumps and filtering equipment compared to of the contract specification and contract data sheets.
– Before starting up the drinking water plant checking the individual flows of the single equipment especially water pumps for the correct installation and during startup of the plant leading the startup and measurements of the different flows.

Project Manager and Site Manager Sewage drying Plant at Tilbury. Total Value:
40 million Euro. The contract was based and executed on red book. The civil contract with Skanska was based and executed on brown book. The plant design and implementation included the following: Civil plant, sludge import tanks, cakeimport, blend and batch tanks, gas boosting system, gas cooling system, gas engine, cake export, screening, polymer station, dewatering, drying, heat recovery system, cleaning of exhaust air with regenerative oxidisers, bio filter system for wet air, bag loading and storage and administration building.
Service: Responsibility as project Manager for managing the project with close client relationship. Managing the project during the design phase with the civil, mechanical and electrical design team as well the process engineering team and close working with the purchasing department for purchasing the equipment.
