1990-1993    Latent Bondings Limited – Relocation to Head Office/Works Cannock, Staffordshire.

Company Profile – As Above.

Position – Commercial Manager

Duties:  I received promotion from CLS Australia after sales increased and technology transfer license agreements where achieved.  My appointment included another larger capacity coating line installation in Cannock, again overseen by myself with key account identification and management.  Key accounts and sales included Patrick (UK), Lotto (Italy), Nike (Far East) and Reebok (UK) insole and tongue applications and High Frequency welded sun-visors for Ford & GM (USA) and door trims/roof linings for MG Rover (Telford).  This position gave me a wealth of export experience when required to satisfy JIT (Just In Time) supply of oversees orders.

1993-1995    Latent Bondings Limited / Advance Enterprises Limited – Cannock, Staffordshire.

Company Profile – (AE Ltd) – Private Limited Company Registered Office Kidderminster.  Incorporated by Inventor of Latent Crosslinking Adhesives to contract manufacture and promote associated technologies and products (Non-Film related) such as powder adhesives, emulsions and recycled composites using alternative binder technology.

Position – Managing Director of both businesses and 25% Shareholder in AE Ltd.

Duties:  This appointment coincided with similar appointment to director status within LB Ltd also.  My position was to run both companies independently maximizing the opportunity for technology transfer abroad and further increase product sales.  As a result of direct efforts through this period the company successfully transferred technology into Malaysia  by way of a joint venture relationship locally incorporated to manufacture and promote within ASEAN Region making best used of free trade zone throughout South East Asia.

1995-2012   Advance Enterprises Limited – Cannock, Staffordshire.

Company Profile – As above

Position – Managing Director of Advance Enterprises Limited

In 2000 I resigned from my directorship with Latent Bondings Limited still offering consultancy when needed in own private time but for last two years my focus has been the running and management of Advance Enterprises Limited alone from this date.

Duties:  Traveling and living extensively through Europe, Canada, USA, South America & South East Asia, (Malaysia 5 years in KL) gave me wide ranging international invaluable experience when negotiating at highest level with public listed and/or private companies.  Self-Drafting agreements and contracts to meet tight deadlines whilst instrumental in leading negotiations.  This role in the company led to working relationships with some of the world’s largest companies such as Louisiana Pacific, Weyerhaeuser, Willamette Industries, Kronospan and Slocan.  Technology moved into MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), OSB (Orientated Strand Board), Plywood, LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumbar) and PB (Particle Board).  Advance Enterprises Ltd is an R&D business and provider of patented technology, Know-how and IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) through international License agreements.

My work in this area of IPR promotion gave an understanding of how to develop and expand a core business beyond product sales by licensing within each patented territory.  I worked closely with patent attorneys to draft and take out provisional patents through to finalizing each country on PCT group basis so that protection was in place for ourselves and our licensees.

2013-to date   J & D Trading Solutions Ltd & Crop Energy Ltd

Currently working for a family business start-up to sell goods internationally.  Crop Energy was set up recently to promote pelletized Biomass for UK/EU Based Utilities.  This is an ongoing project procuring biomass, carrying out trials and seeking new business opportunities supplying power station boilers.  Intended product is a high Calorific Value fuel pellet manufactured to compete with wood pellets from North America.  This is a start up business in its infancy working with palm fiber mills in South East Asia to guarantee large monthly quantities of shipped raw materials for conversion close to customers.

Other

I have been fortunate to have close friends and working business relationships over the last 18 years.  I pride myself on having built an extensive invaluable list of international contacts and associates useful in assisting the structuring of deals locally within each territory or country.  This helps fast track interest in securing business for clients and procuring JV relationships for multinationals wanting to find strategic working partnerships that are synergistic to their domestic or overseas expansion plans.

Hobbies

I have a keen love of horse racing and was lucky enough to own privately a horse called “Sunny Glenn” which run in the Epson Vodafone Derby 2001. My family have owned race horses for many years running in races such as the Grand National and other black type races at Newmarket which gave rise to my interest in owning my own horse.   When not racing I love to travel and visit places of interest.  When I have leisure time available I like to Mountain Bike through Cannock Chase or go running.  My family have a second home in Thailand and as result I can base my activities from both Europe or South East Asia when working on projects.
