• Scaffolding coordinator on a 12 week shutdown at Connahs quay power station, working closely with the client and Kaefer, coordinating all the scaffolding erections to enable other trades to complete their works.

• Overseas scaffolding Mentor/Supervisor on the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard South Korea.

• Reporting to the HSSE Dept. Provide Scaffolding subject matter HSSE advice as required.

• The Prelude FLNG facility will be 488m(1,600-feet)long, 74m(240-feet) wide and displace around 600,000 metric tons of water, or as much as six aircraft carriers, the Samsung ship yard is one of the few yards in the world big enough to construct a facility of this size.

• Our job on the Prelude FLNG project is to supervise, the safe erection of all scaffolds on this project, as well as to mentor the scaffolders and encourage then to work to British standards.

• This project is currently running with over 1000 scaffolders at the moment, this will increase when all the modules are lifted onto the Prelude.

• Working as a supervisor, on a sixteen week shutdown at Connahs Quay power station

• This job appealed to me working as senior supervisor/coordinator, working closely with a group of over 20 men, on a very demanding shutdown.

• As senior supervisor it was my job to make sure all the RAMS and permits were in place prior to any works commencing, all toolbox talks and any safety critical documents were in place.

• This shutdown went smooth without any incidents or LTI and on time, contributing an extension to their contract for future works.
