The Roy Hill iron ore project is a world-class mine developed in the Pilbara region approximately 115kms north of Newman. The project is a design and construct package of the mine processing plant, non-process infrastructure buildings, rail and port facilities and is designed to produce 55 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of Hematite direct ship ore (DSO) as Lump and Fines. The mine process plant works comprises of three crushing stations with 16.0m high ROM walls, tunnels, transfer stations, conveyors, stockyards, fixed stacker, residue thickeners, tertiary crushers, reagents pad tailing pipeline, u/g HDPE piping, piling works etc. to name a few.
As a Senior Project Engineer I am responsible for:
• Managing the onsite civil, piping and building works contractors of the mine process plant and the non-process infrastructure that include administration building, workshops, warehouse and a laboratory.
• Organise and manage contractor premobilisation and kick off meetings.
• Preparing, reviewing and approving the design cost, time and resource (CTR) prepared by the engineering team.
• Identifying and managing risks, problems and uncertainties, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are made known to staff and complied with.
• Managing interfaces with SMP contractor and other package contractors by chairing interface meetings to resolve issues.

The Wheatstone LNG project involves the construction of two liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains and domestic gas plant 12 kilometres west of the coastal town of Onslow.The project is a Design and construct package of 12 permanent buildings essential to the operation of the onshore gas processing facilities, including an operations building, laboratory, maintenance centre, vehicle maintenance shop, fire station and plant warehouse and also includes the provision of infrastructure like roads, central facilities to support the Wheatstone LNG plant operations.
As a Senior Project Engineer I am responsible for:
• Managing earthworks, concrete works, and finishing works packages of all the buildings (12no) that support the LNG plant.
• Managing a team of project engineers and package contractors and scheduling their activities.
• Reviewing the design concepts and materials submitted by the design consultants, preparing and submitting reports including recommendations to the Design/Engineering Manager highlighting advantages and disadvantages.
• Organising and chairing 3D model (Revit) workshops and reviewing LOD 300, 400 models of various package contractors.
• Witnessing and reviewing Factory, Site & Performance acceptance tests (FAT, SAT, PAT) of equipment as required.
• Developing work packages/work lots and assist in assigning cost codes to various activities.

The Browse LNG Development is an onshore processing facility on a 400ha greenfield site located at James Price Point, which is 60 km north of Broome. The onshore work includes establishment of a 12Mtpa LNG plant with three LNG Trains and associated facilities, utilities and services, with provision for expansion later up to 25Mtpa.
As a Senior Project Engineer I am responsible for:
• Sharing responsibility in driving scoping studies on behalf of the client.
• Oversee and prepare scope of work, scope of responsibility and relevant documentation for tendering processes.
• Carryout cost benefit analysis, material take off’s, cost reporting and ALARP reviews for various engineering packages.

As a Senior Project Engineer I was responsible for:
• Wholly managing the installation, QC inspections & hydrostatic testing of all the underground Glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) pressure piping for the Firewater, AOC systems as well as the storm water systems and construction of concrete structures from commencement of the project.
• Preparing Test packs, weld maps & traceability records for GRE piping.
• Review spool fabrication drawings and prepare daily weld reports and traceability documentation.
• Ensuring that the spools are fabricated and tested as per the issued P&ID’s/specifications and accepted by the Company’s inspector.
• Prepare punch lists and ensure that all items are closed out in WINPCS and handed over to the client on time.
• Handling the contractor’s issues including claims and variations and providing technical & engineering input.
• Reviewing & approving contractor’s ITP’s, safe work method statements and risk assessments.

As a Senior Sub Agent I was responsible for:
• Monitoring the overall construction work of Substations of Plant-8, 10 &32, pipe racks, boilers, effluent treatment plant & and all infrastructure works.
• Installation of GRE Piping for firewater systems, and carbon steel piping of OWS & WSS systems.
• Preparing Test packs, weld maps & traceability records for GRE and carbon steel piping.
• Review NDT reports & PWHT procedures.

As a senior site engineer I was responsible for:
• Execution of all bridge works including post tensioning and piling works consisting of 1000, 2000 diameter piles for the piers and pile caps.
• Construction of retaining walls.
• Monitoring the overall construction work and preparation of method statements.
• Handling all the resources, quantity take offs and material procurement.
