I have a wealth of experience in the Information technology sector; I have worked for Blue chip organizations such as IBM, Bytes Technology group, Compute Corporate as well as Bloemwater, the Free State’s leading Water board/Utility. Some of the recent positions I have occupied include Information Systems Developer at Bloem Water, Unix (AIX) system Administrator at IBM, System/network engineer at Compute Corporate, SAB IT support Desk at IBM, and senior user analyst at bytes Technology Group.
As part of my roles, I was involved in comprehensive programs to analyze the business requirements, troubleshooting and maintaining business systems, implementing change requests and applications using a wide variety of technologies, Develop and maintain the ERP system Applications and Intranet Development, Develop and Maintain Databases relating to afore mentioned Systems.
I have added tremendous value in all the organizations I have worked for and feel that I would be an asset to any organization I may join. I consider myself highly ambitious, curious and an out of the box thinker.
I have worked directly with the previous manager as well as the current interim manager who are my mentor and supervisor respectively, I understand the inherent requirements furthermore I have worked for Bloem Water for two years and a few months, where I have identified areas of concern pertaining to the IT department, systems, procedures and standard Operating procedures and how they can be addresses and to further enhanced Bloem Water’s objectives.
I have the technical and working knowledge of Windows System architecture, Linux Systems and Unix Systems, I have the conceptual understanding as well as the practical experience of cloud based computing, these would also include the Internet services such as apache, IIS and the likes .
The aforementioned windows and linux systems also have database component(s) in which I am proficient in both administering, installing and managing, the technologies would include, Oracle database, MySQL, DB2 and Microsoft SQL server as well and its management studio.
I also have working experience and knowledge of the lean sigma six, ITIL and root cause analysis (RCA) attained from working on international accounts and server systems at International Business Machines (IBM).
Due to the nature of my current position, I deal with the software development life cycle (SDLC) on a daily basis, I have working experience in a variety of programming languages such as Python, C#, VB.Net, Asp.Net, php, HTML, Javascript and the Jquery modification packages for javascript.
I have held junior management positions as well as team lead positions which I have fulfilled well, which include resource management (HR) as well as infrastructure management, insuring the organization’s resources remain available to the relevant users when needed.
I am currently working on my IT degree with UNISA (BCOM Informatics), and I am also preparing to write my MCSA SQL Server exams with the intention of having an MSCE SQL Business intelligence, I have attended courses in ITIL, Lean sigma six green belt and yellow belt. very grateful
