Position: General Manager Spain and Product Manager for Mobility Services

Madrid office management in charge of more than 30 people, coordinating and handling all the processes related to mobility satellite services, specially the ones for the maritime environment, from pre-sales and solution engineering, to delivery and deployment, including systems installation, logistics and support.

I was also in charge of the mobility product development, especially for our Maritime and Oil & Gas businesses areas, defining solutions oriented to value-added services and crew welfare solutions.

Company: STM SPAIN, S.A. (GLOBAL IP)

Position: Chief Technical Officer

Management of the technical team in charge of pre-sales, engineering, definition, development and deployment of new solutions and services. In 2011, STM SPAIN changed its commercial name to GLOBAL IP, expanding our portfolio not only our own STM technology, based on DVB-RCS2 and DVB-S2 open standards, but also providing “door-to-door” solutions including third-party satellite communications technologies and terrestrial services, deploying our own global MPLS network.

I was also responsible for the development of our product portfolio for the maritime communications environment, providing VSAT communications services to 300+ vessels worldwide, both in Ku and C band, offering also vertical services over the satellite link like telephony over IP, GSM, Hotspot infrastructures on board and crew welfare packages. In September 2013, EMERGING MARKETS COMMUNICATIONS acquired STM GROUP, where I continued my job as Product Manager for Mobility Services.

Beginning of my professional experience as operator of the earth station at Ruta Quetzal 2004 and incorporated in early 2005 to the Broadband Services Department. During that period, I participated in projects of different nature highlighting my association from the beginning to the development of broadband services in high speed trains, mobile broadband services and transportable earth stations. Also I was responsible for the satellite communications infrastructure for the 2005 and 2006 Spanish Vuelta Ciclista and the Ruta Quetzal communications in 2005, 2006 and 2007. I have participated actively in the Spanish forum of Digital Television and I have written several articles for SatLabs and Telecom R&D Spanish forum. I also gave engineering support for DVB-RCS networks at HISPASAT and AmerHis of Amazonas both in Europe and America.
