Profile

At the moment I am a final year Business with Law undergraduate student. As a final year student I have developed my skills, in becoming enthusiastic for challenges, hard-working in order to achieve personal goals and adapt to situations which may be challenging. As a person I am a judger which helps me in being organised and always having plans for actions and introvert in working on my own ideas and thoughts.

Nevertheless I am a thinker before taking initiatives to do something by analysing the negative and positive consequences based on facts in achieving deadlines successfully. These issues have also also helped me in developing my communication skills in dealing professionally with people.

Employment History

Volunteering

Jul 2011 – Jul 2012
Ecological youth Summer-camp 2011-2012.

The camp programme aimed at inspecting and cleaning the village coastal area from wastes, instructing local residents about non-traditional ways and means of keeping the beach clean, along with the benefits resulting from this.

In the afternoon, we would have a presentation from members of the party explaining the importance of what we were doing and inviting for ideas on how things could be done better.

Work experience

Nov 2010 – Mar 2012
History tutorials at Windermere School.

I had this experience while completing the required service hours for CAS. Every 2 weeks, for 5-6 hours, I tutored international younger students who were doing GCSE history and maths.

During my tutorials I would use creative ways of teaching, such as preparing little quizzes and power-point presentations, in order to have their attention and interest. I was also getting feedback from their teachers and their professional advice was truly helpful and instructive in organising my work by focusing on each student’s individual needs.

Research experience

Sep 2011 – Sep 2011
Berlin History Trip

This experience was a historical trip in Berlin only for the 13-th year history class. We stayed in Berlin, but moved around it and visited places which we had an interest to see as they were related to our course-work for the subject. As a group, we would head to places such as the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, the Jewish memorial in Berlin, cathedrals that were rebuilt after WW2, as well as a range of different museums. For me, this trip was really pleasant and important not only as a history reference, but also for helping me in the WW2 history research project.

Internship

Jun 2009 – Jul 2009
Megeve Trip United World College

The trip in Megeve was mostly for the international students who were starting their studies in different colleges around UK. It was also an educative programme which included conferences about internationalism and understanding cultural differences among nations around the world. Participants came from Israel, Egypt, Albania, Russia, Venezuela, France, Japan and China. The trip helped increase or awareness about the reality of cultural differences and thus improve our communication through common appreciation and respect. The opportunity offered a broader perception of what being an international student actually is and what it feels like.
