Delivery Project Manager
Delivery of the programme of refurbishment projects (up to 10 at any one time) with budgets ranging from £750k to £4m.
• Single accountability for the lifecycle of each scheme from Customer Insight right through to Market Launch – including scoping, costing, gaining Board Approval, delivery and review
• Responsible for the delivery of all KPIs on each project – cost, sales, time, customer disruption, quality, risk assessment and health & safety
• Weekly presentation to the Retail Board – update on programme progress and forecasting risks
• Delivered the refurbishment of 16 projects across Northern Ireland:
o Combined budget of £19.7m, contributing a sales uplift of £4.2m (5.7%)
• Responsibility extended to second region in Scotland in 2013 and successfully delivered seven projects to date:
o Combined budget of £8.3m, contributing a sales uplift of £2.6m (3.2%)

Programme Project Manager
Strategic project to establish a new team and develop Tesco’s five-year Property Strategy
• Recommended and established the new team structure – identified optimum team members, created job profiles, set short to long term objectives and created the Operating Model
• Created and managed the first performance management tool which helped engage 100 employees and change the culture of the department
• Launched, set objectives for and chaired the new Acquisitions Governance group
• Created the first five-year Property Programme – a blend of the most efficient 8.5million square foot of buildable space from a Property portfolio of 54million square foot
• Gained approval to dispose of £800m land that no longer aligned to the Strategy
• Built the first user-friendly database of 5,600 future opportunities for new stores

Change Project Manager
Led a programme operating in both the UK and India with an objective to improve the Property Operating Model by building stores 10% quicker and 10% cheaper
• Completed audit of over 50 Key Tesco suppliers to establish their volume capability and flexibility to change
• Created the business case and recommendation for software for Tesco to invest in (including Autodesk, Tekla and Bentley). Overall goal to create one platform for data to enable a seamless design process
• Conducted research into the ‘cost lifecycle’ of a store from inception to completion – found inefficiency cost Tesco on average £35k per project
• Established and led the ‘New Innovations’ group – a forum for internal and external experts to suggest innovative ideas to improve how Tesco design and build their stores

• Created a standardised Tesco shell specification for a 40,000 square foot store

Cost Project Manager
Managed and controlled the ‘New Stores’ budget of £100m, across 10 stores
• Value engineered and achieved Board approval of 10 schemes
o Original draft costs of £165m – savings of £65m through challenging scope, reviewing rates and trialling new initiatives for ‘cheaper’ ways of working
• Final account for 10 schemes within the timelines of 6 weeks after Practical Completion
• Managed five external Quantity Surveyors
• Created the first ever ‘Re-use’ Programme in Property to re-use existing kit for New Stores
o Current capital savings to Tesco of £55m

Graduate Cost Manager
Assisted in the management of ‘New Stores’ budget of £500m, across 50 stores
• Completed 18 month graduate programme in 15 months
• Led & delivered a change project to transition a cost-tracking process from external practice to the in-house service centre in Bangalore (savings of £55k pa)
• Organised and led the Property Graduate Forum for all Tesco graduates – 150 attendees
