Profile
A highly experienced scaffold supervisor, with both onshore and offshore experience. An in-depth knowledge of system, tube and fitting and lightweight access scaffolds. This also includes hanging, suspended, cantilever scaffolds, cradles, personnel and material elevators. Scaffold design, estimation, and technical assistance. A team player that is able to interact with both management and HSE departments. Able to trouble shoot and problem solve complicated access areas and tasks. Innovate and initiate the supply of men and materials by evaluation and training, both on the job and classroom instruction. An integrated part of the HSE dept who is able to carry out general HSE duties, risk assessments, method statements.

Able to organize, implement and deliver a complete scaffold training package and oversee the erection, safety auditing and dismantling of scaffolds.
Able to evaluate tender documents for volume/costing/man-hours’/, control daily progress and approve Valuation Sheets prior to submission for payment.
Complete document control management. Method statements, rigging and crane risk assessments, scaff tag and F 91 system.
Considerable overseas experience in Europe, Middle East and Far East Excellent abilities to interact with local and third country national staff a key player, within the HSE department

Qatar gas/Technip employed me on the above project as on/offshore scaffold superintendent reporting directly to the HSE Manager. My duties include reviewing MS’s, JHA’s, HSE Procedures etc but my main activities were site based, ensuring all contract companies follow and comply with site requirements with regards to BS EN 39 for scaffolding. I also implemented a training program for all new workers on site to ensure they are fully aware of site requirements.

I was consulted to work on the above and ended up as project manager for the construction period and actual event for the X games in Phuket Thailand. From levelling the event area/tarmac to overall construction of the stands/climbing walls/and skating arena to running the actual 5 day event including security/hospitality events as event manager. I worked on 6 more events for ESPN/Star Sports in Asia in the same capacity over the next 5 yrs.
