I am multilingual, speaking: Arabic, French, Turkish, and basic Italian. I have consulted for Banks on Central Banking issues and worked on numerous occasions as a volunteer for the UK Trade & Investment, and UK Construction Link on missions to North Africa.

Company start-up in Portugal with complete registration, office setup, obtained grants from local Government for the refurbishment of historical buildings, purchased Investment sites, Successfully managed the refurbishment projects of historical buildings for student accommodation, on-time and within budget.
Awarded a contract with the University of Lisbon, for a student dormitory.
Recruited the project team, and required personnel, achieved timely project execution and positioned the post-management team.

This position in a Government Investment Fund Company, was very exciting and fast moving, we were undertaking specialist construction projects including; 5 Star Hotels, refurbishment of Historical Buildings, Ports and Harbors, through to Public Housing projects.
My responsibilities were numerous, but particularly I was responsible for liaising with all the foreign companies, negotiating on behalf of the fund for consultants, construction contracts, supplies and for recruitment of all the personnel required to execute and successfully handover projects in excess of 350 million USD, within budget and on time.
I was required to host trade missions from various countries, meeting, greeting and holding conferences to define our policies and future projects.
I regularly sat on the Executive Board as Chief Adviser to the Chairman and Committee.
It was extremely sad, that due to the breakout of civil war, I was obliged to leave my position in the fund.

Responsibilities
Negotiated and concluded contracts for 4 million Turkish Liras, with Dogan Holding Group, which is a blue chip company in Turkey, including pricing, delivery, design and distribution.
Recruited the full design and manufacturing team and oversaw all operations of manufacture through to delivery and distribution on a nationwide basis.
Tripled the turnover of the company within the first year, and ensured the company’s success through quality management and intelligent outsourcing.
Through networking and personal relationships, I achieved a position as supplier to various other major companies, which ultimately increased the company’s profitability, enabling longevity and security for the shareholders and employees.
