Understand the importance of instructions and written procedures, carrying out instructions and written procedures is one of my core responsibilities as a caregiver because when I follow instructions,it guides my day-to-day activities, it reduces mistakes at workplace and also keep patients and staff safe. Whenever I adhere to instructions and written procedures, it direct me to perform a task diligently, for instance, the first time I used the ECG machine, at a point, it became complicated especially on where to place the electrodes, immediately I refer to the instructions and written procedures, I got it right and since then; I perform ECG effectively without the supervision of a registered nurse.

I participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident and administer medications to the residents as prescribed accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.
I give residents the best possible individualized care and attention by closely adhering to individual care plans and making sure that every interaction is kind, warm and encouraging.
I improve patient's physical comfort by doing things like emptying bedpans and assisting them with self-washing
I am always at alert to residents' physical and mental wellbeing, immediately reporting any changes in a resident condition to a senior person on duty, and update resident records as required
I always respect and uphold the privacy of resident's personal information, including any incident that might happen during routine care as well as the activities conduct of the resident.
I assist with providing physical support, to assist residents to perform daily living activities such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing,walking or escorting.
