Lead Mechanical Construction Engineer – PhPC / BP Egypt JV
From February 2012 to Present
Working in West Harbour Expansion (WHX) project, a brown and green field gas processing facility project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assembly and installation of all Mechanical items on site, this included a 10 MW Gas turbine and compressor packages, all auxiliary pumps, a new Fire Water tank, a new condensate tank and a large number of pressure vessels and drums.
• Evaluating, organizing and prioritizing work within the overall project schedule & Budget.
• Managing and supervising the site engineers and supervisors to control the site work.
• Following up the delivery of the resources requested for successful accomplishment of work
• To ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
• Follow up fabrication and erection of pipe and pipe support during a total plant shutdown.
• Attend final inspections of complete works, hydro test, and reinstatement of the work.
• To convene and attend meetings concerning project construction Management matters as appropriate.
• Monitors construction progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and provides input to the regular reports of the Project Manager.
Mechanical Construction & Operation Engineer – ALSTOM Egypt
From November 2010- till February 2012
Working in Kuriemat Power Station III – Combined Cycle 750 MW power plant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working ALSTOM team during overhaul of steam turbine and manager/controller of required manpower
• Follow up dismantling all the machinery parts (HP,IP,LP) steam turbine
• Visual check for the dismantling parts
• Supervise de-blading and re-blading of (HP, IP, and LP) rotor and stationary blades, cleaning, marking, and replacing the dismantling damage parts
• Reassembly the steam turbine according to client recommendations
• Applying the approved operation procedures for systems start up and shut down.
• Track and monitor operation conditions for the unit during commissioning, reliability and normal operation through ALASPA P320 system.
Mechanical Piping & Construction Engineer – KAHROMIKA
From August 2008- till November 2010
Project: EL-Kuriemat Power Station (Nominal Combined Cycle 1 X 750 MW).
Main contractor: CP105 Contract (INITEC & CMI). CP106 Contract (INITEC & ALSTOM).
Consultant: PGESCO {Power Generation Engineering and Services Company}.
Key Responsibilities:
• .Review and study all isometric and drawing
• Prepare the material request & material for fabrication
• Follow up the fabrication and installation of critical and non-critical piping, pipe supports and calibrate all pipe supports.
• Follow up the erection of condenser and heavy equipment skids
• Review for all activities to be in schedule date.
• Determine priority for activities and prepare the progress site reports.
• Installation of heavy equipment and skids
• Supervise hydro test, flushing, chemical cleaning and steam blow for piping systems and reinstatement
• Conduct system walk-downs to identify and log defects and rectification measures in a punch list
• Participate in monthly progress meetings, site progress meetings, etc.
Mechanical Piping & Construction Engineer – KAHROMIKA
From April 2007 till August 2008
Project: EL-Kuriemat Power Station (Combined Cycle 2 X 750 MW).
Main contractor: Skoda & CMI consortium.
Consultant: PGESCO {Power Generation Engineering and Services Company}.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervising the fabrication and installation of critical and non-critical pipe , pipe supports and other mechanical activities according to client requirements as in drawings and specifications, and Calibration and adjustment all critical pipe supports
• Produced the Punch List and control closing all items from it, and Submits to Client already clear Test Pack for official finally inspection.
• Follow up hydro test, flushing, acid cleaning and reinstatement of systems.
• walk down and handover all systems with consultant and owner
Maintenance & Workshop Engineer – KAHROMIKA
From October 2006 till April 2007
Key Responsibilities:
• Spare parts list reviewing with equipment sectional drawings against contract requirements.
• Preparing and applying periodic maintenance plans according to O&M manuals.
• Preparing the lists of consumables as gaskets, oils and greases…etc. according recommendations.
• Studying, selection, approval and taking over of general maintenance tools and workshop equipment.
