08/2016– Currently Teacher: English language arts, Grades 9&10, ages 13 to 16 years), Rowad Al Khaleej International school, Saudi Arabia. During the first year in my role as English Language Arts educator, I observed that students read fluently however they were not able to analyse a text. I used my years of experience to teach students how to determine the central idea or theme of the text and analyse in detail its development over the course of the text. I also taught them how to draft an objective summary of the text. These skills changed my student’s perspective about literature, to the point that they now thoroughly enjoy it.
