Food Safety and Hygiene Certification
I love to read inspirational books which have helped me build myself to the person I am today.
I love to listen to music.
I like to socialize and meet new people.
As a chef, I focus on several important management skills that help my kitchen run smoothly and ensure my team is motivated and delivers high quality food. Below are some of the skills I bring to the kitchen:
*Time and Task Management: the kitchen can sometimes be chaotic, so I plan work to ensure prep and service run smoothly. I am well organized, which helps me predict what each shift needs and stay on track. I make sure to delegate tasks according each persons strengths which helps to build confidence and smooth operations even during busy periods.
*Cost Management and Inventory Control: this is very important in a food industry and therefore I focus on food costs and wastage on a daily basis. I analyze each dish cost to keep the menu profitable while maintaining the quality of the food and always have a back up plan when key ingredients run low.
*Clear Communication: In the Kitchen, communication is very critical especially during service. I make sure everyone knows their roles and keep open lines with front of house to ensure our guests have a nice experience.
*Quality Control And Attention to Detail: Consistency is very valuable in the kitchen. I am strict about taste, presentation and food safety. Cleanliness and food safety must always be observed. I train my team on hygiene protocols and make sure our kitchen is spotless, organized and up to standard.
*Leadership and Team Development: I lead by example, because I want to be someone my team always look up to. By creating a supportive environment, I make sure every team member feels valued and knows their contributions are important. These skills help me run the kitchen smoothly and have a positive work environment.
