Project Scope: Creation of 2 fields at Iran with the combined production capacity of 180,000 BPD with 2 wellheads 2 process facilities and 2 accommodation modules. Steel work involved around 25,000MT with 61 km Sub sea Pipelines. This project was executed by a Consortium consisting of NPCC & Technip.

Location of the fields:
Al-Dabbiya is located approximately 50 km south west of Abu Dhabi City. It comprises of a series of low lying islands. The majority of Al-Dabbyia wells, however, are located offshore on existing artificial islands. A network of marine pipelines and power cables.
Rumaitha and Shanayel fields are located entirely onshore in a desert location, some 30 km south of Al-Dabbiya.

Project Scope: Installation and commissioning of Flex Speed Carousal with 66 heads and flexibility to bottle 2200-4250 cylinders per hour in the Cherlapally LPG plant. The carousel to operate at variable speed in line with the market demand and to reduce operating cost by 30% compared to traditional carousel in plants with a bottling capacity more than 150TMTPA.

• One of the exceptional features of this carousel is the Vision Unit for tare weight recognition which facilitates reading of tare weight by camera thereby eliminating human intervention.
• World’s largest Flex Speed Carousal at that time (2010 -2011)
• Modernization of three conventional filling carousels at the plant in Hyderabad, with out adding additional land. Primary intent was to improve the filling capacity from 2200 cylinders per Hr to 4250 cylinders per Hr.
• The cost of running the plant in Hyderabad was not increased, even though the production capacity was doubled.
• As all improvements were done of within the frames of the existing buildings.
• There were no need for increases in security, staff, logistics, etc. and – consequently – no additional costs.
• Establishment of Propane-Butane blender at the Cavern Terminal has helped maximize the propane inputs into Visakhapatnam considering the limited availability of butane and price advantage of propane in the international market.

Project highlights
• MENAS maintains over 300 buoys in the Arabian Gulf. Buoys are essential in providing the mariner with visual orientation and spatial awareness. They also provide hazard, channel and waypoint marking. Equipment can be added to buoys to provide additional services such as the transmission of AIS and meteorological data.
• MENAS buoys have two mooring eyes to which shackles are attached to two pieces of chain forming a bridle. The bridle runs down to a swivel allowing the buoy to rotate and prevents the bridle from twisting and dragging the buoy under the water. From the swivel, a length of chain (known as a riser) runs to a sinker on the sea bed.
• Buoys provided by MENAS conform to the IALA Buoyage System ‘A’ which was introduced in 1977.
• The system consists of lateral, cardinal, isolated danger, safe water marks and emergency wreck buoys.
• Buoys are differentiated from each other by the colour of their light and flashing sequence, the colour and combination of colours on the buoy and the shape of the topmark . This marking scheme is designed to enable mariners to identify a buoy if the light is extinguished and /or the topmark is missing.

Product features:
• Anode assembly for aluminium electrolysis cells comprising carbon anodes with stubholes and an anode hanger having stubs,
• Stubholes are fully or partially lined with an expanded graphite lining.
• Such anode assemblies provide reduced voltage drop across the interface between the cast iron and the carbon anode and thus increase cell productivity significantly. Further, mechanical stresses in the stubhole area are reduced.
• By further forming a collar from the lining , the spilling of cast iron over the anode surface is prevented and optionally a protective shot plug or a protective collar prevent direct contact of the hot electrolyte bath with the stub and the cast iron.

• The Exhibition Centre’s distinctive U-shape design achieved by constructing five additional exhibition halls, a multi-purpose hall with seating for more than 5,000 people, 15 meeting rooms and two multi-storey car parks with space for more than 8,000 vehicles.
• Incorporated in the design is an expansion of the Visitor Concourse, which will grow to 18,000 square metres to become the largest air-conditioned exhibition concourse in the world.
