Though a commerce graduate I entered pharmaceuticals marketing and was a highly successful. Then looking for a more challenging career i opted for hospital administration which is a complex one. The challenges involve in dealing with different stakeholders with different backgrounds like the board, highly qualified clinicians, paramedics, non clinical staff, regulatory bodies, community representatives, general public and insurance companies. Projects (Stand alone cancer cennters):

Executed the Chennai center project successfully right from planning to commissioning

Coordinated completion of the Trichy center project

Successfully planned two centers, one each in Chennai and Thoothukudi

Currently working on plans for two high end centers in Chennai

Successfully commissioned the Chennai center for patient treatment in Dec ’13

Established a referral network of GPs, Dentists, Gyneacologists, ENT and general surgeons

Structured an effective referral fee payment system

Revenue generation: (since the takeover in December 2014)

Achieved a monthly business of 30 lacs in the last few months and a matching revenue collection with a basic linear accelerator

The current patient load is 50 plus patients a day for radiotherapy and more than 100 chemotherapy per month

The arrangement with Saveetha medical college to accommodate radiotherapy patients has resulted in annual saving of INR 4 million for the company.
