Financial Accounting and Performance Reporting: Ensure the financial records are maintained and presented as per the company’s policy & IFRS. Supervision on closing of books of accounts. Monthly Management Reports - P&L, Balance sheet, Cash Flow statements and other key performance reports.
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Initiate, prepare and consolidate the budgeting documents which include Budgeted P&L, Balance sheet and budgeted cash flow. Coordinate and prepare to deliver budgeting reports and presentation slides on time for the management to review and present to CEO. Responsible for finalizing the budgeted numbers and ensure that is uploaded in the system on time for the review by the corporate team.
Scrutiny of Books of Accounts & Insurance: Monitor & maintain books of accounts (GL, AP, AR and other sub ledgers including FA register) so as to reflect true and fair view of the brand performance. Finalize the detailed Insurance coverage of the business on a yearly basis and monitor regularly to identify possible business risks. Keep complete track of Insurance Expenses with proper schedules.
Performance Analysis: Analyze and present the financial and operating performance of the businesses periodically for review by all levels of management and present recommendations for corrective action, if any. Provide critical analysis on key variances with the budgets – sales, gross profit, net profit, inventory cover, ageing, provisions, etc. Compile cash forecasts, bank balances, and facilities and carry out required analysis assisting management to control funds management and facilities effectively.
Audit – External / Internal: Co-ordination in completion of internal and external audits and respond to the audit queries. Ensure that audit schedules are prepared and submitted on time for both Internal & External auditors.
Project Analysis & System: Support setting up of new stores including assessment of the financial viability of existing stores for expansion, relocation. Coordinate between business users and IT department to maximize on available IT solutions & participate in discussions on development of new systems / processes for improvements.
