I strongly believe I possess the skills required of a Finance Manager. First is adequate knowledge of business strategy and management. This will quickly help me understand the strategy pursued by a company and how various macro and micro factors can affect the going concern of a business. This will also help in the recommendation of an adequate course of action. Secondly, a finance manager should have adequate knowledge of accounting and finance, which I strongly possess. This skill will be useful in providing direction for an organization through adequate budgeting and financial modeling. This skill will also be essential in making corporate financing decisions and determining the level of gearing which will maximize the value of the company.
