IT/AV Field and Support Techncian

" I'm an experienced IT and networking professional with a strong background in network technology, Audio Visual (AV) support and technical troubleshooting. I am highly motivated; detail orientated and thrive in fast-paced environments while delivering high quality results.

Currently, I work as an IT/AV Support Technician at Questek Advanced Technologies, contracting for the South African Reserve Bank. My role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining AV equipment, troubleshooting IT hardware such as laptops, printers and workstations, and providing technical support for video conferencing systems. l also manage equipment inventory and resolve networking and wireless issues to ensure seamless operations.

Previously, i worked at COMSOL Networks (PTY) LTD as a Junior Network technician from April 2021 to June 2024. My responsibilites included installing and maintaining RF network services, troubleshooting customer issues, and ensuring compliance with company standards.I played a key role in technical operations, completing installations within deadlines, and maintaining company assets. Before that from June 2018 to March 2021, i was a Lab Technician at COMSOL. where i focused on testing and configuring networking equipment, managing stock-taking processes, and compiling lab test reports to maintain technical excellence.

I hold a Networking Technician Certification from Boston College (August 2021 - January 2023), which includes National A+, N+ and CCNA Routing & Switching. I also earned a National A+ Certification from Damelin ( July 2018 - June 2019) and completed my Matric at New Model Private College in 2017. My educational background has provided me with a strong foundation in network infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and internet technologies.

With expertise in hardware troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance, i have strong problem solving, communication, and time management skills. I am proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and have the ability to work efficiently under pressure. I am always eager to learn new technologies and continuously improve my technical and analytical skills, ensuring that i contribute effectively to any IT or networking environment. "
