Employment History

October 2012 – August 2013 McDermott Caspian Contractors – Baku, Azerbaijan

HAZID Coordinator

I have been working for McDermott Caspian Contractors in Azerbaijan for the last 10 months. The scope is related to the Chirag and Deep Water Gunashli Projects, both field developments including pipe lay, platform and subsea infrastructure installation. This has provided direct involvement with the DSV, (regularly diving to 180 metres), Pipe lay Barge, Derrick Barge, and ROV/Survey support vessels. In addition, first-hand experience has been gained with access to and involvement in the fabrication yard, with jacket fabrication, topsides float out, pipeline load-out, spool and riser fabrication, and riser clamp fabrication. I have supported mobilisation activities with the relevant vessels and spent some time offshore on the DSV. Responsibilities

 Co-ordinating and facilitating HSE meetings

 Co-ordinating, preparation and facilitation of HAZID workshops

 Supporting application of Safety Case, HAZOP’s, HAZID’s and Risk Assessments

 Closing out of actions and follow up of activities

 Work site visits for HSE inspection – Dive Support Vessel (DSV), warehouse

 HSE Procedures for the effective study of Hazard Identification (HAZID) – Now issued and implemented regionally within McDermott’s.
