I am a results-focused information management professional. I am passionate about bridging the gap between clients and IT to ensure the needs of both parties are met. Identifying gaps in processes and opportunities for improvement are areas that I enjoy focusing my effort. Training is critical to a successful implementation, and I have experience in training development, including delivery. Additional skills I bring to the table include quality management and team leadership.
I have employment experience in the following roles:
Business Analyst
Program Manager
Social Media Coordinator
Team Supervisor
I have completed several courses over my career, highlights include Lead Auditor Training (previously certified as a Lead Auditor for ISO: 9001), Adult Education, Leadership (Leading Program Certificate from University of Alberta), Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt), and Project Management.
Social Media Coordinator - Canadian Alliance of Aromatherapy: Led ad campaigns and public interaction for the organization.
Business Analyst - Government of Alberta: Developed business requirements. Facilitated business meetings between IT and end users.
Information and Records Management Program Manager - Government of Alberta: Acted as business lead for the ECM upgrade project. Ensured training on IRM initiatives was developed and rolled out.
I enjoy volunteering with various organizations. I currently am a board member of the Canadian Alliance of Aromatherapy. In the past, I have volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. I am constantly learning and enjoy teaching myself new skills or taking courses to learn new skills. My hobbies include travel, yoga, drawing, reading, and researching various topics.
