I studied in my first year at the University of Khartoum at the Faculty of Science, Mathematical Section (Physics) and obtained a 7.1 GPA (First Class), so I had an opportunity to transfer to the Faculty of Engineering, and I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Honours. During my studies I studied topics such as engineering material science; mechanical engineering design; calculus; fundamentals of mathematics; general physics, the skills I learned from these modules gave me an excellent foundation in the Design & Engineering field. I feel proud when I remember this period because it was a goal for me and I achieved it, now I have another one (Becoming a Proficient Design Engineer) and I will do my best to achieve this goal as well.
I have an analytical mind and a natural curiosity to discover how things work and how to build them. For example, how does a hot air balloon move up and down? This led me to look deeply into what buoyancy is and its relationship to the density of air inside the balloon envelope, which led me to design and manufacture a Hot Air Balloon as a graduation project in the final year; this gave me good knowledge to work on the engineering design field. My ambition is to design and create something revolutionary to change the world for the better.
