Intelligent Environments is a specialist provider of digital banking software.
I was recruited by IE to set up the Marketing Department with heavy focus on events.
Reporting into Director of Strategic Partnerships and Marketing my role includes:
managing an event assistant
organising executive dinners, breakfast briefings, afternoon live debates, webinars, exhibitions, partner conferences, charity events
managing the whole events cycle from pre – production and planning, entertainment, management of the event day to post production on a national and international scale including UK, UAE and Asia
working towards a strict event management brief, in line with key operational criteria including the event objective, timeline, budget and branding guidelines
UK and international venue finding, visits and bookings
managing a budget and the sign off process internally, managing all invoicing
identifying/securing speakers, delegate management and outreach via email marketing campaigns, delegate management on the day
organising and attending site inspections planning room layouts, managing the venue staff, coordinating suppliers, caterers, stand designers and contractors
obtaining and coordinating detailed documentation of all supplier quotes and costings, contract negotiation with suppliers such as caterers / AV companies and hotels / venues
preparing running orders, production time line and agenda
overseeing design and production of invitations, menus and organising all collateral; also graphic design of the event collateral such as brochures, inserts and stand artwork
full briefing of the team, preparing event packages
organising facilities for hospitality and the media
pre-production, on-site management and event delivery
post production, overseeing the dismantling and removal of the event
post event Thank you letters to venue and all suppliers and speakers
holding event de-briefing meetings

generating a corporate social media strategy and managing a PR agency
heavy involvement in company brand strategy, managing a website launch and involvement with company re-branding
managing corporate website, reporting on website analytics

Achievements: In 2012, my team planned a digital banking software product launch at St Ermin’s Hotel in London, on a £50,000 budget with a 100 delegate audience consisting of Microsoft, Barclays, Lloyds, John Lewis, and American Express etc. I individually executed six UK Digital Banking Breakfast events on a £4,000 budget with 50 attendees from Barclaycard, Capital One, Citi Bank, RBS, and Visa etc. I also managed logistics for several events with our partners in UK, UAE and Hong Kong.
Mar 2010 – Dec 2011 Event/Marketing Executive | StatPro | Wimbledon, UK
StatPro is a portfolio analytics software provider for the global asset management industry.
I started at the company as an events intern, and was promoted within 12 months to Events/Marketing Executive.
Reporting into the Global Marketing Manager, I:
was instrumental in company brand strategy decisions, including the new website launch, and involvement with company re-branding
was responsible for organising all events
did all venue research and site visits
did on-site management and event delivery
managed suppliers
managed the sign off process internally
was responsible for overseeing the dismantling and removal of the event
held debrief meetings
managed email marketing campaigns, website reporting, external/internal comms, CRM and collateral design
Achievements: In 2011, I individually organised a product launch at Tate Modern, on a £60,000 budget with 100+ attendees, including asset managers, bankers, custodians and pension funds from Aviva, Barclays Capital, and BBVA etc. I also organised several webinars, investment performance measurement training courses and third party events, in UK, Europe and Asia.
Reason for leaving: I was head-hunted and presented with an opportunity to have more responsibility, more potential for advancement and more challenges in my role
June 2006 – June 2007 Event Planner | Mayborn Graduate School | Denton, TX, USA
The annual Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference is a forum for journalists, writers, readers, students, educators and the general public with 300+ attendees.
Reporting into Conference Project Coordinator I helped organise annual literary conference, managed delegates, all the logistics, designed a conference program and other collateral.
Reason for leaving: this was a graduate position that ended with completing my Master’s Degree.

I am a former basketball player who hustled on the court for eight years in Slovenia and US. Along with education, those years in Texas exposed me to multicultural classmates, team players, community and way of life. I chair a corporate charity team supporting the Emily Ash Trust which aims to improve the lives of children and young people suffering from cancer. EAT is a local charity which allows us to see exactly where the money goes, as we are privileged to be allowed to interact with the sick children and their families.
