Abdelhamid have 10 years of experience in the field of Supply Chain Management in sectors as diverse as telecommunications and mining. The Direct Shipping Ore (“DSO”) Project is a brownfield development located in Canada’s historic iron ore producing region of Northern Quebec and Labrador. The Iron Ore Company of Canada (“IOCC”) mined and shipped products from various DSO deposits from 1954 to 1982. Having the basic infrastructure in place, the Project provides an opportunity to rapidly build a mining operation for the European steelmaking unit of the Tata Group, the world’s sixth largest steel producer.
Pre and post award Contract management
Prequalify potential suppliers based on the project needs. Coordinate activities with other disciplines including engineering, project controls, planning, etc.
Prepare and issue requests tender documents and to prepare commercial evaluations and selection meeting.
Lead bid clarification and pre-award meetings as required with vendors and prepare and issue minutes of meeting.
Prepare joint technical/commercial recommendations for commitment and to follow up/execute post award contract.
Provide contracting support for the expediting, logistics, and material controls groups by ensuring that contractual requirements are fulfilled by suppliers.
