I am responsible for the Material Preparation Division and control production planning for all projects the company undertakes. We work a 24/7 operation. I was brought in to advise and implement on best process and production flows, lean manufacturing principles, optimize planning and operations, automation of a number of our working practices, Robotics, material movement and I am a member of the (small) Operations Management team that runs this facility comprising over 850 personnel. Huisman work within the Oil and Gas industries manufacturing specialist products such as Drill Rigs and vessel based cable laying equipment plus HD cranes.

Planning + managing the transfer of complex manufacturing equipment, including plant layout design and installation of new product manufacturing lines. Managing all operations such as supply chain, engineering, process flow, quality control, production, capital expenditure and cost control measures such as Lean and Sixth Sigma. Oversee the activities of over 220 people in 2 plants.
Major Achievements:
Transformed existing 35yr old factory into modern thriving highly profitable World class standards manufacturing facility.
Headed up the plant during production output increase from T/O 38m to 60m€
Successfully led organizational restructuring and factory layout changes.
Successfully Increased production output by over 140% after project completion
Introduced effective Process Flow, Quality Plan, Lean Manufacturing including Sixth Sigma
Integrated new products and new production processes into existing plant

The KTI Group are manufacturers of complex machinery used in the Printing, Packaging and Corrugator industries.
I led the team that built the China Factory from a Greenfield sites to a fully operational manufacturing facility. This including planning and implementing factory production line layout. Purchased, installed, commissioned machinery, established best working practises, sourced and managed supply chain and all manufacturing processes. We used Lean manufacturing such Sixth Sigma and other techniques.
Major Achievements:
Built and fitted out the factory under budget and 2 months ahead of schedule.
Perfected 1400 wide range of Cut to Register and plain web sheeters.
Achieved build time on average 20% faster than our competitors and at a reduced cost base.
Introduced new 1000 wide sheeter especially designed for the h1gh quality multi-colour printing markets.

I controlled our offices, staff and operations in Singapore, Taipei, Shanghai, Manila and Bangkok. I opened new Service Centres of Excellence in Beijing and Wuxi. Supervised and controlled installations, rebuilds, commissioning, parts supply and all relevant staff comprising 5 nationalities. Full Profit/Loss responsibility plus managed supply chain, recruitment and outsourcing.

SHM were manufacturers of high end sheeting (CTR and plain web) equipment to the Printing, Packaging, Pulp, Paper and Board industries.
I was in full control of all manufacturing and production facilities employing 280 people direct and another 130 plus indirect employees.I controlled quality, design, production, assembly, supply chain, commercial contracts and all related business functions.
Major Achievements:
Headed the company when we increased from 31 to 48 Million T/O in 3 years
Reduced lead times and installation times by over 30% on average
Innovated production processes and aided in new machine designs
Opened new territories in South America and the Russian Federation

Full Profit/Loss responsibility plus manufacturing and production control.
