Project Supervisor
Recruited for UPC’s Ireland network planning department (planning and roll out of their fiber /coaxial network). Provision of accurate field information for network poles, stay wire, earthing, cabinets, chambers, splice locations. Preparation of relevant work packs for contractors, as well as handling customer enquiries and complaints. Supervising the telecoms site acquisition team (way leaving)to secure the necessary permissions for all outside plant equipment.
Supervised the construction of civil works to erect poles, underground ducts and street cabinets and connections to the ESB network for power supply. OSP installs, installing cabinets, aerial cable and underground cable.
Supervised the splicing and testing teams, ensuring accurate and timely reports. Coordinated with external consultants, councils and contractors to support the actual build and any way leave or technical queries during the fibre network rollout. Interfaced daily with the internal project management team to ensure key project milestones are delivered on time and under budget while exceeding all expectations. Communicating with key stakeholders. Conducted health and safety audits and reporting. Audits of risk assessments and method statements.
Daily and weekly reports to the management team, using Excel and PowerPoint. Conducted site surveys for SME connections to the fibre grid, utilizing existing ducting and utility poles.
