I love my job as I love my family, so I take my job serious as I have passion to carry out job successfully.
As an overhead Transmission linesman, our safety slogan is to come home being save, so we are team family beside our immediate family.
As a tree cannot make a forex, one man cannot do the job alone on this career part. As we maintain tower component to reduce losses of electrical energy, we protect each other on the tower and on the ground. So the job is a team work.
On the other hand, It's fun to us while on routine patrol to map out encroachment of trees, bushes or buildings along the right of way and directly under the Transmission line for trace clearing exercise to be carry out on spotted span or terrain being captured.
I have build up myself with 10yrs working experience so I look further to relocate, and work as a team to share knowledge on the job.
This career part is highly technical in the field which school cannot give an individual the practical skill in the field, you most be in the field to achieve that skills.
The Danger of high voltage cannot give a second chance to life.
So we take our job serious to come home being save.
My opinion for an employer is to consider an experience linesman in the field for fast, reliable, safe and better performance.
