Location: Olkaria – Geothermal Division

 Initiate, supervise, monitor, and provide technical guidance on repairs and maintenance of plant machinery
 Develop technical specifications and terms of reference for the procurement of spares and/ or services for the repair of equipment
 Support timely installation and commissioning of new machines and electrotechnical systems in line with LOTO and maintenance of high voltage (HV)& low voltage (LV) switch gears and automatic systems in the Engineering room/ main substation
 Prepare a sectional monthly schedule for the manpower
 Plan, supervise, and prepare regular reports on preventive maintenance as per the schedule to the maintenance manager
 Supervise contractors on various electrical assignments, by providing technical assistance
 Directly responsible for the installation and commissioning of transformers and substations
 Ensure staff training and staff development is carried out in accordance with the training calendar.

 Liaising with Kenya Power engineers for shutdown, inspection, and other related activities.

 Overseeing all the construction works and allocation of work to the sub-constructors.

Responsibilities
 Head design and construction sections
 Coordinating all electrical teams, both in the last-mile connectivity project and production departments.
 Inspection of lines and picking as built coordinates using MapIt App
 Re-designing of power lines where there are wayleaves problems
 Construction of 33KV, 11KV, 415V and 240v Power lines.
 Liaising with Kenya Power engineers for shutdown, inspection, and other related activities.

Duration: March 2018 to October 2018.
Responsibilities.
 Fully comprehend and interpret the project electrical engineering construction, control system & instrumentation drawings and all other project-related electrical & electronics documents.
 Regularly inspect and confirm that all project’s electrical construction & installation work is being performed as per drawings and specifications as described in the electrical engineering project documents.
 Ensure that “Quality Assurance & Quality Control” activities as described in the project’s electrical documents are being performed and all the prescribed standards & specifications are being adhered to.
 Ensure that the project’s “electrical installation schedule” is implemented as per the client expectation.
 Confirm the integration of the Panel Room, Power Transformers, Switchyard; Substation Panel room and Power evacuation lines is as per electrical design & drawings.
