My main skills are directly connected to the topics of fungal diversity characterization, phylogenetic analysis, molecular biology, bioinformatics and -omics tecnhnologies.
I have completed a B.Sc. in Biology, a M.Sc. in Plant Biodiversity and Biotechnology (Specialization in Biotechnology) and Ph.D. in Biosciences (Specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology). For the last decade I have worked in Microbiology, Mycology, Fungal molecular systematics and Taxonomy and Materials Biodeterioration. I have recently finished a PostDoc in Plant pathology and Bioinformatics, were I worked with metagenomics and genomic analysis applied to the detection of detrimental plant pathogens in Portuguese agriculture and nurseries.
