For the past 6 years, I have worked in the agricultural sector, and during that time, I have gained a solid understanding of the many responsibilities and tasks associated with this line of work. I am competent to carry out all tasks necessary for a farm worker, such as planting, harvesting, and taking care of livestock. I also enjoy working long hours in challenging environments, and I can put up with heavy lifting for extended periods of time.
I have experience operating balers, combines, and hay mowers in addition to driving tractors.I have worked on dairy, vegetable, and cattle farms. I have also worked on organic farms where we cultivate food without the use of pesticides or chemicals. I like working on different kinds of farms since each one presents its own special problems that force me to employ a variety of skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure birds have access to food and water walk through the house to identify sick or injured birds
• Utilize proper bio security standards when entering and exiting houses
• On layer farms, assist with putting eggs in cartons
• Control temperature of houses for ultimate bird comfort
• Conduct maintenance on the house and watering/ heating system as needed
• Control house lighting to meet bird needs
• Maintain high standards of animal welfare
• Manually harvested and inspected the crops.
• Irrigate farmland, and maintain pipes, pumps, or ditches.
• Utilize and maintain farm equipment and machinery.
• Spray fertiliser or pesticide solutions on weeds and fungi to control them.
• Use tractors or wheelbarrows to move trees, plants, and shrubs.
• Feed livestock and clean and disinfect their pens, cages, yards, and hutches.
• Examine animals to detect symptoms of illnesses or injuries and administer vaccines to protect animals from diseases.
