I am a project planning professional with years of experience focused on the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and delivery of engineering phases of various projects ranging from infrastructure to commercial and manufacturing schemes.
I am currently working at Thornton & Ross Limited, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Huddersfield, UK, as an Assistant Planning Engineer, where my role involves supporting the scheduling and planning of maintenance jobs on the site facility production machinery which in summary, covers the Short and medium Outages/Turnaround Maintenance on the site while creating and updating the outage plans using Primavera P6 to track activities and milestones.
However, before that, I was engaged with Ultimate Integrated Solution Ventures Limited, where my role as a graduate planning engineer involved the planning and scheduling processes of projects that are required to manage contracts and contractor schedules while updating those schedules using Primavera P6 to track project activities and milestones, thereby keeping track and monitoring critical activities to be reported. I was also tasked with carrying out construction site visits/supervision to ensure projects were progressing in accordance with accepted industry standards while tracking and monitoring project performance against an established baseline.
For my educational background, I have a bachelor’s and master's degree in mechanical engineering, which I acquired the latter from the University of Huddersfield UK. I believe I would be a good addition to your planning team, having gone through rigorous educational programmes involving key engineering and project management modules and practical hands-on experiences within various industries.
A few of my achievements are listed below:
• Development of a comprehensive risk management framework to identify and assess potential project risks resulting in the implementation of risk mitigation strategies that resulted in a decrease in project delays by 60%.
• Maintained accurate project budgets via control accounts, tracked expenses, and ensured adherence to financial milestones which enhanced cost-saving measures that resulted in a 20% reduction in project expenses.
• Developed project reporting dashboards detailing performance progress to date (Planned versus Actuals) which adhered to the performance Measurement Baseline and informed senior management decision-making criteria.
My computer skills are outlined below;
