Chemical Engineering MEng from the University of Birmingham, UK
Process Engineer at Petrofac International Ltd. (2014-present)
Have worked on three proposals; the Fadhili gas plant (FGP) SRU package, worth $1.7 billion, in which our team was successful and two others, which are in progress. Finished work on the FGP project. Currently working on a FEED (Front End Engineering Design).
Added value by engaging in many process engineering activities such as hydraulics (single and two phase), simulations, equipment sizing, chemical and utility summaries, preparing PFDs and P&IDs, process descriptions, updating the deliverables with respect to philosophies, BEDD documents, stream data, PFDs, plot plans, etc.
Communicated with both clients and vendors and implemented responses. Reviewed vendor offers. Coordinated with other disciplines in order to keep all deliverables consistent.
Took part in HAZOP sessions and have interacted with client and licensor representatives. Have also presented an entire system during a client design review meeting.
Revised chemical selection for the entire SRU (all trains) and common cooling water area and requested data for dosing calculations by communicating with chemical vendors via TQs. Used calculated data to determine pump and vessel sizes.
Completed the first revision of a feed verification report following the completion of a proposal.
Proposed and completed engineering automation activities as part of a select automation team.
