I am an experienced program Officer having worked in both Kenya and Rwanda coordinating and implementing programs that seek to combat human trafficking. Project: Raising awareness of human trafficking in Rwanda and Kenya among policymakers, media practitioners, and communities.
I led initiatives to address human trafficking, facilitating cross-border knowledge exchange between Kenya and Rwanda and implementing capacity-building programs in Rwanda for media practitioners, policymakers, and the local communities in Rwanda. Additionally, I played a key role in contributing to Rwanda's counter-trafficking in persons policy providing valuable insights and expertise in shaping strategic approaches to combating human trafficking in the region.

2)Program Officer, July 2022 to January 2023
Organization: Trace Kenya in partnership with Equality Now
Duty station: Kenya
Project: Enhancing Policy Responses to Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse(CSEA) in Kenya
I led a program on enhancing policy responses to address CSEA in Kenya engaging relevant stakeholders through consultative forums to identify gaps in laws and policies that hinder full operationalization of child protection policies. As a result, we developed an advocacy brief that is being used by civil societies across the country to give actionable insights and guidance to enhance responses to CSEA.

3) Program Officer, May 2021- August 2022

Organization: Trace Kenya in partnership with Better Migration Management(BMM), GIZ
Project: Communication Strategy
I led engagements with the private sector- Transport Sector Actors(TSAs)- in a campaign that sought to raise awareness among TSAs and the traveling public on safe and secure migration to reduce risks of human trafficking and enable reporting of cases by potential victims. I facilitated capacity-building training and developed communication materials for the campaign.

Project: End Sex Slavery.
I led a group of 24 survivors of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children(CSEC) through mentorship and capacity-building sessions empowering them to become change makers and amplify survivor voices in their community.
